Open

Who can take part in the Open competitions?

All Dutch and German dancers with a B-/ A-/ S-class competition licence and dancers of the Norwegian Eliteklass are obliged to participate in the Open competition.

German formation dancers in the 1. or 2. Bundesliga are obliged to participate in the Open class. If formation dancers have a current individual competition licence, this class is crucial for the classification.

B-/ A-/ S-class or Eliteklass dancers in one discipline have to participate in the CloseD competition in the other discipline, if they don't have a tournament licence there.

Dancers who were in both disciplines inactive for at least 3 years will be rated one class below their highest achieved class. This would make a former B-class dancer eligible for the CloseD competition under circumstances.

Blind dating is mandatory for all Open dancers.

Blind dating means: You are not allowed to start at the ETDS with your regular tournament partner or with a partner from your own team.

If there is any uncertainty which class is the right one for you, have a look at the document "Classification details".
